| My best friend is getting married in two weeks. I am one of the bridesmaids and she actually picked a decent dress. It's sage green and tea length. Something I might actually be able to wear again someday. She is marrying a male travel RN. Maybe we will find time to swap stories. Better yet maybe we could get a travel nursing assignment together!
It's such an exciting time, so many changes. Change is good, but overwhelming at times. Speaking of time, I've got to run....

| Here's my gripe of the day as a travel RN: A two-bit travel nurse agency tried to offer me luxury housing without laundry facilities even after I repeatedly told them I already took an assignment. Crazy to think that places don't come with washers and dryers as a standard.
This is why I stick with Access.

| What a weekend, actually I didn't really feel like I had one. I went wine tasting with some of my girlfriends. Started mixing the white and red wine. We had a good time. But I think it killed my immune system, by Sunday I was coming down with the flu. So much for getting anything done this weekend.
I have been offered a travel nursing assignment in San Diego and Newport CA. Weighing the pros and cons of each area. These contracts are tricky. Trying to find where nursing agencies put in writing your pay etc. I've spoken with so many recruiters I can't handle anymore. I am leaning towards the job in San Diego. It's with a company called Access Nurses, a nursing job agency. Very nice recruiter, honestly I like the job because of the beautiful weather! We shall see..... |

| I've been spending some time researching nurse forums. I just want to hear the heroic and horror stories of nurses across the nation. I found several I really liked. It seems nursing is a career you must truly love in order to survive the negative aspects of being a travel nurse. Some people are pretty bitter. But I truly believe I have that love. Guess I will find out. |
